Bakker Diamonds is an award winning jewellery manufacturing workshop and diamond importer. We specialise in loose diamonds, diamond engagement rings, wedding rings and diamond, ruby and sapphire jewellery. In 1983 Peter Bakker embarked on a career in the fine jewellery industry, covering all areas including diamond and watch sales, completion of a jewellery tradesman apprenticeship, jewellery design, gemmological studies, gemstone importation and distribution, and finally the establishment of his own jewellery manufacturing business in 1990 which incorporated WF Cole and Co, one of Queensland’s oldest wholesale diamond importers and jewellery manufacturers, dating back to 1901.

We consult directly with our clients to arrive at the jewellery item to meet taste and budget requirements and then manufacture all our pieces to suit.

Our philosophy is that important jewellery purchases should be carefully considered so as to maximise the wearer’s enjoyment and the purchaser’s value for money.

Peter has made thousands of exquisite pieces over his 30 year career and was awarded 1st prize in the Brilliant Brisbane Jewellery Design Awards Category Omnia Diamonds Award for wearable jewellery over $7500 which was presented at a gala evening at Brisbane City Hall.

His piece “Riverlink” valued at $12,800 featured a white gold choker with a 4 carat green Queensland Sapphire and diamond encrusted drop. Each link joins the next by an interlocking system based on the outline shape of the satellite image of the Brisbane River.
